LANDER -- The Fremont County Sheriffs office is asking for the public's help to find a Lander woman missing since Thursday.

24 year-old Amy Bechtel went jogging last Thursday off a road south of Sinks Canyon State Park.

It's a remote area often used by campers headed for Frye, Fiddlers or Louis Lake.

At this point Bechtel's Toyota Tercell is the only trace of her that has been found.

Sheriff Larry Matthews says searchers in airplanes, helicopters, and on foot have been unable to turn up any other signs of her.

Because of that fact, the sheriff is growing increasingly concerned foul play may be involved.

"There's so many people up in that area that I believe if she would have gotten lost or broke a leg or something like that we would have found her by now. It appears where her car was last reported or her tracks were last seen it's been intently searched in that area and she's not there. And it's just like she's vanished so we have to look at the possibility that someone has picked her up."

The Fremont County Sheriff"s Office wants to obtain descriptions of vehicles or people seen in the area last Thursday and Friday.

If you have any information you may contact the Fremont County Sheriffs office at (307) 332-5611.

Bechtel has short blond hair and was wearing a yellow tank-top, black shorts and a dark sweatshirt at the time she disappeared.
