LANDER -- The search continues Tuesday for a missing Lander woman although officials say they have very few clues.

They know that Amy Wroe Bechtel is a seasoned athlete and was planning a road race up in the mountains which seems to be her purpose for heading up to the Sinks Canyon Park. Family members say it would not be unusual for Amy to squeeze in her daily jog while she was up there. However, at this point they cant really confirm her exact purpose.

Thursday started like any other morning for Amy Wroe Bechtel. She had breakfast with her husband and then set out to run errands and go for her daily jog. But as the search reaches into its fifth day... the same questions are left unanswered and more questions are beginning to surface.

Officials say they do know that Amy was last seen at 2:00 p.m. At the "Camera Connection" in Lander. Witnesses have placed her car at the Sinks Canyon Park in Shoshone National Forest at 3:00 p.m. But unfortunately that's about all they know.

Survival experts are optimistic that if Amy is lost or stranded she is still alive. Their optimism is partly due to her age and her outstanding physical condition.

There is one element in the case that the officials say is odd. Amy's wallet was missing and family members say she usually never went jogging with it.

Investigators do say it is possible that someone could have stolen it from the car but they are not ruling out foul play or the possibility that Amy could have been abducted.

Sheriff Deputy Kelly Smith says that they are currently following a few leads but would not say whether they had any suspects as of yet.
